Chilla Recipe
Ingredients
2 Table Spoons Millet Sattva of your choice or Satthumavu mix Half medium chopped onion , 1/2 cup of chopped mix vegetable like Methi, carrot, capsicum etc 1/2 tea spoon of haldi , Salt chilli, powder for taste 1/2 tea spoon of Jeera , 1 finely chopped chilli or 1/2 tea spoon chilly powder (optional as per age of child) Curd (optional) and Water
Cooking Process:
Make batter by mixing all ingredients . The consistency of Batter should be that of Dosa batter or medium consistency. Keep batter aside for 15 to 20 minutes . Heat tawa, grease it with oil or ghee and make chillas from batter Enjoy Hot Chilla with Chutney, Curd or Health Food Co Ketchup
Savoury Porridge
Ingredients
1 Table Spoon ghee , 1 and half Table Spoon of Sattva of your choice Hing , Jeera powder , Boiled grated or mashed vegetable of your choice (carrot, beetroot, pumpkin, bottle gourd, sweet potato, etc) Salt for kids above 1 year of age , Black pepper (optional for children above 8 to 9 months of age)
Cooking Process:
Take ghee in a pan, and roast the sattva a little till you get cooked smell. You can add hing, jeera powder or other spices and roast along with the sattva. Add hot water and cook the porridge. Salt can be added to porridge for kids above 1 yr age. Add mashed or grated cooked vegetable of your choice and cook a bit longer. You can serve the porridge to little one.
Sweet Porridges
Ingredients
1 Table Spoon of sattva of your choice 1-2 Tea Spoon Ghee , Milk or water . Fruit of your Choice (mango, apple, pear, banana, etc) , Dryfruits powder of choice (Almonds, Cashew, Pistachios, Dates etc – Optional) Cinnamon powder or Elaichi powder
Cooking Process:
Take ghee in a pan, and roast the sattva a little till you get cooked smell. You can add dryfruits powder, elaichi or cinnamon powder while roasting Add hot water or milk and cook to make a thick porridge. Once cooked, remove from flame and then cool a bit and then add mashed fruit to the porridge and offer.
Bhajni che Thalipeeth
Ingredients
1 cup thalipeeth bhajni , 1 small onion chopped Coriander chopped , 1 to 2 chillies chopped 1/2 tea spoon jeera , 1/2 tea spoon ajwain (optional) Salt to taste , 1/2 tea spoon haldi , 1 tea spoon haldi powder
Cooking Process:
Mix all the ingredient add water slowly to make soft dough. Take banana leaf or butter paper, put some oil on it and grease it. Make a medium sized ball of the dough and flatten it with fingers You can deep fry, shallow fry or pan roast the thalipeeth. Serve it with dahi or chutney of your choice.
Pancake
Ingredients
1 tablespoon of Sattva of your choice or Satthumavu mix , 1 big ripe banana or 1/2 grated apple ( u can add more than one fruit together), Blue berries or strawberries 1 egg / 1 or 2 tea spoon flax seeds powder soaked in water for 20 mins , Milk or water to adjust consistency , Elaichi or Cinnamon powder 1/2 tea spoon or 3 to 4 drops of vanilla essence Dryfruits powder (optional)
Cooking Process:
Mix all the ingredients and make the batter with medium consistency Heat tawa, grease it with butter or ghee . Spread the batter on the tawa to make a pancake, and cook on both sides. You can serve it with dates syrup or honey or jus like that.
